The only time the kids are allowed to rip up the grass. And, they had fun.
Jesse was the Head Digger and then 17 blisters later he is trying to make the backyard level for the pool.
The kids were tired and dirty.
Riley was in charge of hauling the wheelbarrow full of grass.

Zoe gets in trouble for digging so, we were not encouraging it like she thinks.
Jesse with his shirt off is a rarity but, 1000 degree weather and he was half-naked digging his own grave in my backyard.

Raygan just loved the gloves. They kept her hand from getting dirty. This is a result of a mother that went spazoid when the kids went near dirt all their lives.
